~2009 Graduate~

Congrats Class of 2009!!!

Saturday my little brother graduated from High School. I'm so proud of him. He's such a smart guy (kinda like Einstein). He'll be attending UC Davis, on a scholarship, in the fall double majoring, Physics & Chemistry. It's hard to believe that he's almost an adult now.

He realized that he didn't decorate his cap...so these are the ever important and unique decorations he came up with Saturday morning...

My girls love their uncle very much. So Friday night we had a little project. To show how much they love their uncle, Anna & I made shirts and hair ribbons to wear for the big day.

Uncle Tyler's nickname at school & pretty much everywhere is T-MO.

And of course the girls had to model their new shirts before we left home.

We love you Buddy & wish you the best of luck and success as you continue your educational career and acheive your goals & strive to reach your dreams!

!!!HUGS!!!

Family Camping Trip

::A Lake that I can't remember the name to, somewhere up by Gumboot::

Our first camping trip of the season was over Memorial Day weekend. Granted we didn't go far (Lake Siskiyou, 40 miles from home), we still took the trailer out and had a wonderful famly time.

Saturday morning we headed out with a low tire, with plans to stop at the tire shop on the way out of town, only to find that he was shut for the holiday weekend. Plan B, drive 6 miles to the gas station that's right on the way. Get there, put air in the tire, it's not holding, rubber around the vavle stem is cracked; put on the spare. Off and running, stop to pick up paycheck that was supposed to be ready Friday, look in the envelope, check is wrong dollar amount, made out to wrong person, check out spare tire, its going flat. On our way, stop at the tire shop, fix original tire, air up spare, on our way again.

::6 miles from home, and already a flat!::

::My entertainment while tire changing is going on (the little 'soso' theif)::

Get to where we are camping, hubby gets out to register, slams his hand in the door, the whole hand. Finally at our campsite, setting up camp, unhitching the 5th wheel, lever breaks off. Things are going along just fine, looks like we're in the clear....WRONG. Eating lunch and hear water flowing, look under the trailer only to find that the hose split in half...ugh. Oh well, fix it later, right now we're going to go down to the lake for a bit and try out the raft. On the last trip in, broke a paddle. And it's only 2pm. Thankfully, nothing else went wrong for the rest of the trip & it was a wonderful time.
We spent our days fishing and just being a family. The oldest caught her first fish while in the 'boat' with Daddy. We would have gotten a picture, but the fish totally freaked her out. I think it was the flopping around. Or could have been the fish that hit her in the head as it came out on a pole?!? Regardless, she LOVES fishing with her own Princess pole.

Matt & Jess {Wedding} Sneak Peak

Saturday was a beautiful day for a wedding. Matt & Jess were wonderful and their day was just as beautiful and wonderful as the 2 of them.
I've just begun sorting through the photos from the day and these are just a few of my favorites...so far.

I stopped by the 139 year old country church on my way out to the brides parents home. It was gorgeous out, the sun shining and warm.

Although I would love to take the credit for capturing this photograph, I have to give it to my assistant for the day, also known as my husband. Isn't it spectacular!?!? I'm so proud of him for this shot.

Aren't the 2 (technically 3) of them so adorable. Congrats you guys!

Been a while...

WoW! It's been a while since I've posted anything new. Life gets crazy sometimes, & this past month has been no exception for me.

We moved into a new house in a new town (well not so new town, I grew up here). We are now renters & still unpacking boxes. Had our 'moving in' yard sale, it was successful, & I'm glad it's over. Hoping to eventually get the office/crafting room in some sort of workable order, but since it's 'my room' it will be last, and probably a never ending project.

We celebrated our 3rd anniversary, time has flown by so quickly & we've been through so much. I couldn't be happier. I have an amazing husband. We're not much into getting each other gifts, so I only expected to get a card, which would have been totally fine, but he totally suprised me this year. When I woke up there were a dozen (my first dozen ever) red roses sitting on the dining table. Then he arranged for a babysitter & took me to a resturant we'd never been to before. It was such a great day!

The girls are growing so fast. Gracie is already 3 months old (OMGosh). She is starting to 'talk' to us & changing everyday. The little miss can sit up with some assistance and rolls from her tummy to her back. She loves chewing on her fingers and being outside. And although this shot doesn't show them, she's got the cutest little dimples ever!

Anna is taking full advantage of the 'terrible twos'. Her attitude and personality are so strong & independant. She is talking a whole lot more and making more sense. Somethings she says are really funny, most days she's a little Polly Parrot!

Check back for some new pictures next week, tomorrow we're heading to the chapel for a spring wedding!!! Jess & Matt are finally tying the knot.

JMKs--Easter

Yes this post is late, but life has been hectic to say the least. Although these didn't turn out quite like I'd hoped, considering all the obsticales just to get them, they are okay.

We went from, okay this isn't too bad, should be 'quick & easy'....

...to 'I want nothing to do with this...get me outta here'...

...followed by 'I'm not going to look at you because you can't make me, you're waaaay back there...'

...so maybe the key is a little bit of sleep...

...or how bout we play dress up instead...

...the lesson of the day...a great smile comes with the threat of putting the camera away. I was completely frustrated and done with this little adventure, started putting things away, and suddenly I had a cooperative little princess on my hands...

Amazing how that worked out!.

Cousins

Hooray!!! I got the chance to take some photographs this past weekend. This is my sister and brother in law, my nephew, and his cousin. They were definately wild and crazy cousins, but it was a fun little outting, even though neither of them wanted ANYTHING to do with having their portraits made!

There will be more later, I'm in the midst of packing and needed a short break. :-)

JMK-A little practice

I've been dying to get out and get some shooting in, but lots of things have come first. One day this week I set out for 10 minutes to try and get a better portrait of my lil' Grace. Well, it didn't quite work out like I wanted, and definately need some assistance when trying again.

But in the mean time... I haven't had much time to do any crafting lately either, so I sat down today and did a couple things. A binkie string for the baby and of course Miss Anna needed a 'rojec' to, so we made her a little headband with the same ribbon I used for the string.

And then, she willingly posed for a few quick snaps since it was so 'tuute' .

Hopefully (haha) I can convince my dear sweet hubby to help me get some Easter pictures of the girls this weekend. I know I'll get a little practice in this weekend, even if it's not my own kids...my sister wanted to get together for some new shots of her & my nephew. I may even get ambitious and get a few new ones of myself done...
