{Real Life} Air Tankers & Helicopters

Summer just wouldn't be summer without seeing some Air Tankers & Helicopters. We are fortunate to live in a wonderful, beautiful, rural area where we can just go out to the base & watch them fly.
Here's a quick peek from yesterday evening.

Have a great Thursday evening. I'm off to photograph a beautiful mother & daughter, for a sunset session.

Not so Wordy Wednesday

Saturday we spent about 4 hours watching & waiting to watch air tankers land at our local airport for a fire that broke out. Here are some images I took during that time.

(with a little vintage-ish edit to it)

The ever serious boy.

My little Queen of Dirt (so hard to get natural smiles from her to shine through--she's such a poser anytime the camera is visible)

The little big girl--she's growing up so fast, more kid like & less toddlerish these days.

The Big One

and the not so biggish one.

Enjoy the day!

Fire Watch {Life}

Today, about the same time my hubby walked through the door the local fire alarms went off.
...a flare up...

We went out to photograph the event and came up with a mostly shots of the Helicopter, as my longest lens, wasn't long enough (next on the long shopping list) to get much of the action.
...a test drop, right back into the pond...

...taking off with his load of water...
...the 1 and only drop...

...and the return...
