A new view, A mover & A Sleeper {My Life}

We're all moved in, not unpacked, but moved in. Slowly but surely we are getting unpacked and organized. Moving is so tiring, but it was a move well worth it. We love our new home & especially love our view.

...the sunrise on our first morning at the new house...

...what I saw the morning of the 14th...

...the 15th...

...and this morning...

Our kids have adjusted well to the new place & we're pretty sure they LOVE it here. There is lots of room to play & they both have their own room. We're working on some new routines & habits, and hopefully in 2 weeks we'll be solid on them.
Miss Grace thinks that pouting is the answer to getting what she wants and has the most determination. Doesn't matter what's in her way, she's going to get to whatever it is she wants.

...the littlest miss & her pouty face...

When she's not pouting or trying to get into 1000000 things she shouldn't or eating leaves, grass & anything else she happens to find that we've missed; she's moving. Crawling or rather speed crawling, & learning to walk....

...on the go...

Anna's quite the helper these days. She's also quite the little mother & tries to discipline her sister. She likes doing everything "By Myself". She's VERY independant which has it's advantages. The attitude queen at our house. She also thinks that if I have my camera out it is for her to get her photo made and poses on her own.

...Hi MOM!...

The biggest wee-one has helped pack, move & unpack. Needless to say that the last week has been a whirlwind for everyone.

...moving is even tiresome for the wee-ones...

We're ready for some normalacy to set back in and get things back in order.

Balloon Fair {My LIfe}

The weekend of September 26th was the annual balloon fair. This year the weather was better than I remember it being for a long time, except for the smoke that had settled in from a fire up in Oregon.

...launching...
As always we got up early & headed out to watch them launch. This year was especially fun for a couple of reasons, Anna is talking like crazy & loves "Hot Boons" and we actually lived close enough to not have to get up at 5am.

...watching intently...

...not really interested in the balloons, it was a bit early for the little Fuzz Head...

...beautiful sunrise lighting, a proud big sister, a little sleepy head, & my love...

...smoke on the horizon...

...kissing balloons...

...Anna, her favorite cousin, auntie, & friend B enjoying the morning...

As a challenge to myself I only took 1 lens with me, so these were all taken with the 50mm.
After watching the balloons for about an hour and a half, we headed back to our house & I made breakfast (biscuits & gravy, bacon, sausage, eggs, fruit & fresh whipped cream) for our family before going to the Farmers Market & parade.

Beautiful Banker Ladies {Portraits}

Yesterday morning, was an early morning for me, but so fun. I got to take a drive down to a very familiar place, and photograph my old co-workers & friends. It's that time for their annual holiday portrait.

Here's one from yesterday.

I will have your proofs up by the 13th.

On a side note, life is extremely busy right now. In the midst of 'getting busy time for holiday portraits' season, & on top of tons of dr's appointments for the pregnancy & life with 2 children under age 3, we are moving to a new house, out of town, so we will have limited to no internet access until the wireless satellite system is installed sometime in the next 2 weeks.

Email requests & replies will be slower than normal, as well as posting images & blogs for the next couple of weeks, while we get life settled back into it's somewhat normal state. Thank you in advance for your patience.

Jamie, YHS, Class 2010 {Senior}

Yesterday evening I got to spend a bit of time with one of my favorite people. She's like a little sister, and we've had numerous impromtu sessions over the years, but last night was special. Miss Jamie is a Class of 2010 YHS senior. The evening light was gorgeous, just like this lady. Here are a few of my favorite shots from her shoot.

We sampled a couple of different locations for this part of her session & will be meeting again to finish off a few more.

Miss M is Turning 2 {Toddler}

Yesterday I got to spend part of the afternoon with Miss M & Family for her 2 year old portrait session. My how she's changed over the past year and a half. I love watching the little ones grow & their personalities develop, it's always so amazing.

...The Little Miss...

...and her baby...

...in the midst of the flower bed...

...one of my favorties. She was so happy and laughed a ton...

...Miss M & her wonderful parents...

...and last but not least, it wouldn't be complete without adding Mr E to the session...

Thank you guys for a wonderful session. I'll be working on your images & creations this week. Enjoy.

I thought that for this month's product spotlite, although later than I normally post it, I would showcase my Gift Certificates.

Vacation {My Life}

Over the Labor Day holiday weekend we visited Newport, OR with my Brother-in-Law and family. It was a nice little getaway, even if the weather didn't cooperate as much as we would have liked.

...sealions down at the wharf & my nephew trying to see out of the viewing station...

...the view from the house where we were staying...

...we took our girls to the Oregon Coast Aquarium, with Fum-Fum (grandma)...
Anna loved seeing all the different animal, Grace was sleepy and enjoyed the not so great stroller bed.

One day we drove up the coast a bit to see the angry waves crashing on the rocks. It was a bit chilly and very windy, but that doesn't stop Anna from posing!

...the sky was beautiful, it was really grey & cloudy, but when the sun would shine through, it was amazing...

...waiting for Auntie, Brad & Brandon to get done shopping we went down to a whale watching bench and watched the ocean at Depoe Bay...

...On our way home Monday we stopped at The Wildlife Safari in Winston, OR, we enjoyed our lunch with a peacock...

...then drove through the park, Gracie enjoyed standing up and NOT being in her carseat, I think she grew to highly dislike it during this trip...

...Anna got to 'drive' and loved checking out ALL the animals...

...the last image of the day, taken in the "America" section of the park, wish it was out in the wild though, he was a beauty...

We can't wait to go on our next adventure. Not sure where we will go, but when we asked Anna if she'd like to go camping, she informed us 'mine like fishing', so maybe before it gets tooo cold here, we'll head out and do a little camping.
